If not, I want to start it now! Yes, it’s catchy, but it’s also mewly limp gibberish, and I’m tired of it being treated like the group’s greatest moment. I’m willing to accept that my preference for “Larger Than Life” is personal, but if you put “I Want It That Way” over the delightful, cocky Gap Band homage “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” the soul-stirring passion of “Incomplete” (whose opening line “empty spaces fill me up with holes” achieves a level of lyrical psychedelia “I Want It That Way” only aims for) and the yearning, moment-defining “Quit Playing Games With My Heart,” I’m going to assume you’re a corny indie fuck, and not the kind of indie fuck who really knows what time it is (i.e., me). “I Want It That Way” is the mushy, milquetoast Bon Iver choice, with all the horrible things that suggests about you. Horrible! Bon Iver! J’accuse! I go there!
